Zonta Sports Awards

These were established in 1990 and celebrate the sporting successes of young men and women at secondary schools throughout Canterbury and the West Coast.

They operate in seven categories and are judged by a panel of five eminent sportspeople.

The winners are announced in late October at a prestigious dinner with a high profile guest speaker .

Some previous Zonta Sports Awards winners are already world champions. Many have represented New Zealand in their sporting codes.
